Key Account Manager

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Key Account Manager in Canada.

This role is focused on driving strategic growth across major retail and distribution partners within a fast-paced, consumer-focused technology environment.
You will manage and expand a portfolio of key accounts, building long-term partnerships and developing data-driven growth strategies to increase product visibility and sales performance.
The position combines commercial ownership, relationship management, and strategic planning across both physical retail and e-commerce channels.
You will act as the main liaison between the organization and its retail partners, ensuring alignment on growth objectives, merchandising, and market execution.
A strong emphasis is placed on influencing partner success through insights, collaboration, and proactive account leadership.
This is a high-impact role where your work directly shapes market expansion and brand presence across key distribution channels.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop and execute annual strategic account plans, with regular quarterly reviews to ensure alignment with sales and growth targets.
  • Own and manage relationships with key retail and distribution partners, acting as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities based on market trends, product launches, seasonal demand, and marketing initiatives.
  • Lead business reviews, partner meetings, and executive-level presentations to drive alignment and performance improvements.
  • Manage sales forecasting, reporting, and performance tracking to support strategic decision-making.
  • Optimize marketing investments to maximize return on spend and improve product sell-through.
  • Oversee product listings and performance across e-commerce platforms, ensuring accuracy and optimization.
  • Collaborate with retail partners to improve in-store merchandising, shelf placement, and overall product visibility.
  • Represent the organization at trade shows, industry events, and partner engagements.
  • Travel regularly to strengthen relationships and support key account growth initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Key Account Management, retail, distribution, consumer electronics, or CPG industries.
  • Proven experience managing retail and/or e-commerce accounts with measurable sales growth impact.
  • Experience in telecommunications, networking, or VoIP products is considered a strong asset.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain senior-level business relationships with retail and distribution partners.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate market insights into actionable growth plans.
  • Excellent communication skills, including presentations, negotiations, and executive stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.
  • Self-driven and comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
