About This Position

Your Role at a Glance

The Administrative Assistant & Receptionist serves as a key point of contact for daily operations at our Tolland, CT Headquarters, The Forge. This role is responsible for providing welcoming, professional front-of-house experience while supporting the smooth execution of office operations and onsite activities. This role will provide support throughout the organization as needed.

This is a full-time, onsite role. While standard business hours apply, the position requires occasional flexibility in working hours to support onsite meetings, events, or business activities as needed. Advance notice will be provided in this situation.

This position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a service-orientated mindset.


How You’ll Drive Success

Administrative & Office Operations
  • Own the operator queue and manage incoming calls appropriately
  • Handle mail and package distribution
  • Support general administrative office functions as needed
  • Maintain organization and professionalism of common and reception areas
  • Front of House and Visitor Experience
  • Greet, check in, and escort visitors as needed
  • Serve as an ambassador for The Forge, providing high‑level facility tours when appropriate
  • Ensure all visitors feel welcomed, informed, and supported during their time onsite
  • Facilities & Inventory Support
  • Manage inventory of office and cleaning supplies
  • Coordinate replenishment to ensure uninterrupted daily operations
  • Support Facilities team needs as required to maintain a functional, professional workspace
  • Event & Onsite Support
  • Help with onsite meetings, trainings, and events
  • Help with light setup, breakdown, and coordination support as needed
  • Act as a resource during high‑traffic or high‑visibility onsite activities

    Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred but not required.
  • Minimum one year’s previous administrative assistant experience with responsibility for answering/directing calls and greeting visitors in a professional office setting.
  • Previous administrative or clerical work experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams.
