Description:

Join our team at a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility where you’ll play a key role in supporting quality and production. We are looking for a hands-on Lab Technician who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.

In this role, you’ll help ensure our adhesive and tape products meet both company and customer standards through testing, analysis, and collaboration with internal teams.

What you’ll do:

  • Perform laboratory tests to evaluate physical and mechanical characteristics of adhesive systems, tapes, laminates, and foams
  • Set up, adjust, and operate laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: tensile testers, tack testers, laboratory ovens, and scales
  • Test raw materials and finished goods to verify conformity to internal and customer specifications
  • Accurately record test results using standardized forms, spreadsheets, and databases
  • Prepare Certificates of Analysis or Certificates of Conformance as required
  • Identify and communicate non-conforming materials to appropriate internal stakeholders
  • Prepare graphs, charts, reports, or data summaries including both quantitative and qualitative data to support trend analysis when requested
  • Prepare samples for internal testing and customer evaluation purposes
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment in compliance with company policies
  • Take pride in daily work, valuing excellence in execution of routine tasks
  • Monitor laboratory inventory and ensure adequate supply of materials, tools, and personal protective equipment
  • Follow production schedules and product tracking requirements
  • Utilize inventory or material tracking systems as required (training provided if needed)
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and operational goals

Requirements:

What we're looking for:

  • Associate degree in a related field OR 6–12 months of lab or manufacturing experience (or a combination of both)
  • Ability to operate basic laboratory testing equipment or learn through on-the-job training
  • Basic computer skills, including spreadsheet and word-processing applications
  • Ability to accurately document and communicate quantitative and qualitative test results
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Ability to follow written procedures and safety guidelines
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime, including short-notice requests
  • Commitment to workplace safety and cleanliness

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to work with measurements involving weight, volume, area, and distance
  • Proficiency in using and converting between metric and US imperial units of measurement
  • An understanding of basic statistics (mean, range, standard deviation) is preferred

Physical Demands

  • Regular standing, walking, reaching, and use of hands
  • Frequent lifting and movement of materials up to 20–50 pounds; occasional lifting of 50 pounds or more
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb as needed
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts and airborne particles typical of a manufacturing environment
  • Use of required personal protective equipment

Work Environment

  • Laboratory and manufacturing setting
  • Standard noise levels
  • Will handle small amounts of organic chemical solvents for cleaning
  • Emphasis on safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company policies
  • Work hours primarily between 8am and 5pm, Monday – Friday
