Delivery Driver / Warehouse in Albemarle, North Carolina at Quality Enclosures Inc

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely delivering glass products and related materials to our customers, representing the company with integrity, and supporting warehouse operations as needed. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and takes pride in providing exceptional customer service.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely operate delivery vehicles, including 26' box trucks, to transport products to customer locations on time.
• Load, unload, inspect, and prepare deliveries, including handling heavy and fragile items such as glass.
• Follow designated routes, maintain delivery schedules, and adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety standards.
• Complete accurate logs, reports, and delivery documentation.
• Serve as a professional representative of the company by providing excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Assist with warehouse operations and manufacturing duties when deliveries are completed or as needed
• Communicate effectively with management, dispatch, and customers regarding delivery updates or issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a professional delivery driver.
• Proven experience operating 26' box trucks safely and efficiently.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and current Medical DOT Card.
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy items, including glass, safely and repeatedly.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while following safety protocols and company procedures.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIROMENT

• Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs. regularly, bend, reach, and move heavy and fragile items throughout the workday.
• Exposure to indoor and outdoor conditions, including variable weather.
• Safe operation of delivery vehicles and handling of fragile materials required.

SAFETY

We prioritize a safe workplace for every teammate. Proper PPE must be worn at all times in designated areas, including the warehouse and loading dock. Safety policies are strictly enforced and are a core part of daily operations.
