Job Summary:

This position is the first impression of New Heights Ventures that everyone entering the building will receive. The role will exemplify guest service skills to make the first impression warm and welcoming. In addition to receiving those entering the office, the receptionist will be additional help to all team members in the office, completing general office tasks.

Essential Functions:

  • Welcoming team members, vendors, and visitors in a professional and energetic manner
  • Maintain entrance environment: music, coffee station, mints, etc.
  • Handling queries via phone, email and general correspondence
  • Taking messages and ensuring they are passed to the appropriate team member
  • Managing meeting room availability via outlook calendars
  • Assisting the office team with printing, photocopying and faxing
  • Create and maintain inventory list for kitchen supplies and copy room supplies
  • Take weekly inventory of kitchen / copy room and create order list
  • Maintain safety and hygiene standards of kitchen
  • Reviewing applications to ensure completion before interview
  • Maintaining safety and hygiene standards of the reception area
  • Maintain open and productive professionalism with entire organization through clear communication and writing skills.
  • Comfort with all forms of communication: telephone, email, face to face, and written
  • Assist coordinators with maintaining person served files
  • Assists in other projects or duties as assigned by leadership team
Requirements:
  • Enjoys working in a fun, positive and team driven environment role, while maintaining organization with good follow through and being a self-starter
  • Comfort with basic computer skills, website navigation. Experience in excel preferred
  • Exemplify New Heights Ventures core values including service, inclusion, and integrity
  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with leadership team, supervisors, and team members
  • Willing to learn and adapt to various situations.
  • First Aid and CPR certified (Agency will reimburse hired employees re-certifying)
