INVENTORY SPECIALIST
Department: Collection Systems
Reports To: Inventory Coordinator
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Pay Grade: 18

Summary:
The Inventory Specialist will assist with the daily duties in the Inventory warehouses at the main office and the treatment plants. Applicants must be detail-oriented and organized professionals responsible for overseeing and managing an organization's inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels, and optimizing efficiency. Their primary duties include conducting regular physical counts, reconciling discrepancies between physical stock and system records, and maintaining up-to-date inventory logs using Central Square Asset Management (Lucity) software.
The schedule for this position is Monday – Friday, 6:30a-3:00p, 8 hours per day with a 30 minute lunch.
Starting pay for this position will be $23-$27/hour; commensurate with experience.
Driver’s license required. Fork lift experience preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reports to the Collection Systems Inventory Coordinator.
- Responsible for signing out tools and supplies from lockup.
- Receive incoming shipments and packages.
- Unload shipments using the forklift.
- Assist the construction crews with loading and unloading materials.
- Pick up supplies and parts from local suppliers.
- Assist with weekly, monthly, and bi-annual cycle count of supplies.
- Maintain the indoor parts warehouses and outside pipe yard area.
- Support Treatment Plants, Asset Renewal (construction), Asset Maintenance, Pump Stations and other departments as needed.

Minimum Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Driver’s license required.
- Experience with inventory management, knowledge of underground construction, mechanical and rotating equipment, electrical and/or plumbing parts, and forklift experience preferred.
- Applicants must possess a high attention to detail and accuracy, appreciate organized workspaces, be professional, be able to communicate clearly verbally and in writing, and be willing to learn.
