You will guide a multidisciplinary team responsible for designing robust, efficient, and highly reliable electrical systems that support complex industrial and advanced manufacturing environments. Beyond technical oversight, you will shape departmental strategy, strengthen engineering standards, and ensure the successful execution of large-scale design projects. You will collaborate across disciplines to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into sophisticated facility designs. Accountabilities

You will lead the Electrical Engineering Department, ensuring strong technical delivery, team development, and alignment with business and project objectives across complex engineering programs.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop electrical engineers and designers, fostering technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and performance management to maintain a high-performing engineering team
  • Define and execute departmental strategy aligned with organizational goals and emerging industry trends
  • Provide technical leadership for complex electrical systems, including power distribution, grounding, protection, and critical power infrastructure
  • Review and guide key engineering analyses such as load flow, short circuit, arc flash, and power quality studies
  • Ensure high-quality integration of electrical systems across multidisciplinary facility designs
  • Manage departmental budgets, project performance, and operational efficiency
  • Support business development activities, including client engagement, proposals, and technical presentations
Requirements

This role requires a strong blend of electrical engineering expertise, leadership experience, and the ability to manage both people and complex technical environments.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility for reciprocity strongly preferred
  • Extensive experience in electrical engineering design for industrial, high-tech, or advanced manufacturing facilities
  • Proven experience leading and managing engineering teams with direct reports
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, protection systems, and critical infrastructure design
  • Experience with engineering analyses (load flow, coordination studies, arc flash, etc.)
  • Strong financial and project management capabilities, including budgeting and performance oversight
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for client and stakeholder engagement
  • Strategic mindset with ability to drive process improvement and technical innovation
