About This Position
Job Summary:
The Clinical operations manager is accountable to the Director of Hospice/facility administrator. This position is responsible as the department lead for the EMR. and is responsible for managing all clinical review processes, for monitoring EPIC workqueues that pertains to oversite of the management of clinical operations including billing, charge reviews, orders, and account reviews for the department. Supervises the Patient Care Managers in the Hospice offices to ensure that goals relating to quality outcomes and productivity are met. Responsible for preparations for Accreditation surveys and state surveys. Provides assistance to the Executive Director in budget preparation, development and control. Assigned to special project development. Assists the Director and Quality/performance staff in developing policies and procedures, productivity standards, staff education, staff scheduling, understanding and implementation of all state, federal, and governmental guidelines. Responsible for onboarding on new hospice staff. Responsible for business development by building referrals from other regional hospice agencies for patients that are appropriate for inpatient respite or GIP care in Asbury hospice house. Is responsible for assisting in the management of staff in all offices related to the development of educational activities including required educational activities for partner/contracted skilled nursing units where patients receive hospice services. This positon is designated as the Director of nursing and facility administrator when the Director of Hospice/facility administrator is not available. Performs other job duties as assigned.
Performance Expectations:
- Ability to manage workques, dashboards, and reports generated in EMR (Epic).
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Able to work as a member of a team
- Demonstrates ability to organize, collect, retrieve, store report data through software systems for ongoing performance improvement.
- Ability to utilize excel reports and download reports from EMR.
- Ability to educate nursing staff on high tech equipment procedures including caring for patients.
Qualifications:
Education/Skills
Minimum of Associates Degree in Nursing with supervisory experience. Bachelor degree preferred.
Work Experience:
Minimum two years of experience in hospice care, knowledge of hospice regulations.
Certification/Licensure-DUE UPON HIRE
- Licensed RN able to practice within the State of MS
- Valid Driver's License and proof of automobile insurance required.
Additional Certification/Licensure - Obtained based on required timeframe below
- Basic Life Support
