Medical Scribe at Southern Oregon Orthopedics, Inc – Medford, Oregon

We have a team of board certified physicians supported by trained staff to provide the best orthopedic care to our community. We utilize the latest healthcare technology to deliver effective healthcare to our patients. Our busy medical practice is currently seeking a medical scribe to work alongside the providers, documenting accurate and detailed information of patient visits. The ideal candidate will provide the highest quality customer service to patients and adhere to practice protocols and processes. This is an ideal profession for potential pre-med and nursing students who want the opportunity to learn while working side by side with our clinical staff or someone with some medical background who is looking to work part time. Responsibilities of the the position include, but are not limited to:

• Taking notes during patient visits and documenting them in the electronic health records system
• Learning about the medical process and using a team approach in patient supervision and documentation
• Working with a Physician or Physician Assistant to complete and submit medical records
• Communicating with patients and supervising Physicians professionally
• Completing all administrative tasks efficiently

EPIC experience a plus!

Experience:

• Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
• Typing: 1 year (Preferred)
