Primary responsibilities for this position include:
- coordinate job site responsibilities, make decisions, buy parts, and communicate problems to supervisors
- install/inspect remote data gathering panels, fire alarms, security alarms, conduit wiring, etc.
- work on computer systems and have extensive circuit theory knowledge
- design, install, operate, and maintain complex systems
- work with fire marshal, may do fire alarm inspections if state certified
- prepare cost estimates for projects
- repair electronic circuit boards
- repair associated components of Energy Management Systems, self-contained emergency lights, TVs, recorders, intercom systems, coaches’ headsets, etc.
- read volt meter and must understand technical writing; assist with designs/modifications/upgrades
- work with engineers
- work on life/safety projects/panels
- work on expansion/renovation projects
- prepare cost estimates for larger projects
- maintain records, drawings, and schematics for systems
- read/prepare blueprints and follow technical manuals
- order supplies and keep records of equipment & inventory
- check on customers to ensure customer satisfaction
- coordinate with customers/departments/shops
- act as Supervisor when needed
