About This Position

Description: The Arc Western Montana is seeking a creative, compassionate Activities Coordinator to lead engaging, meaningful day-program activities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
This is an exciting opportunity to build a career in human services while making a daily difference. The successful candidate will enjoy planning experiences, supporting others, and working in a collaborative team environment in a supervisory capacity.
This is a Monday to Friday position, 8:00am – 4:00pm.

Position: Activities Coordinator

Location: The Center, just of Russell in Missoula

Your Role:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activity programs
  • Plan creative, purposeful group and individual activities
  • Provide delegation and support to Direct Support Professionals
  • Ensure accurate electronic documentation
  • Support individuals during community outings and group events
  • Assist with daily care needs, meals, and medication administration as needed
  • Apply Mandt techniques to support positive behavior
Requirements:

What We're Looking For:

  • Compassion and respect for the individuals we support
  • Dependability and a strong work ethic
  • Minimum age of 18
  • A valid driver license held for at least 3 years with a mostly clear record
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English, including electronic documentation
  • Some leadership or supervisory experience (preferred)
  • Experience in Day Services or a similar program in, for example, elder care
