As a Product Analyst in Financial Crime Prevention, you will analyze transaction data, product performance, and monitoring tools to detect and mitigate risks such as fraud, AML, sanctions violations, and other financial crimes. You will contribute to improving the effectiveness of compliance and monitoring systems while ensuring an optimal experience for legitimate customers. This position allows you to work closely with cross-functional teams, including compliance, operations, and product management, to transform insights into actionable improvements. You will play a critical role in safeguarding organizational integrity, supporting strategic decisions, and shaping the future of financial crime prevention products. • Analyze transaction, customer, and operational data to identify risks, trends, and suspicious activity.
• Evaluate product performance using KPIs such as false positives, case volumes, detection rates, and alert resolution times, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
• Support product discovery by gathering requirements, investigating edge cases, and validating problem statements.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and insights for product and business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with compliance and operations teams to translate challenges into product opportunities.
• Test, validate, and document solutions including rule changes, workflow enhancements, and machine learning models.
• Maintain accurate records and document processes, logic, and analysis to build the team knowledge base.
• Utilize various investigative tools to conduct thorough financial crime analyses.

Requirements:

• 47+ years of experience as a product analyst or data analyst, preferably in fintech, banking, payments, or financial crime risk management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn raw data into actionable insights.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets.
• Experience using BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI.
• Detail-oriented mindset with an eye for identifying suspicious activity and process improvement opportunities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity to spot patterns or trends others may miss.
• Ability to balance risk management with customer experience while prioritizing effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional, and remote environment.
