About the RoleReporting to the Director Environmental Permitting, this role will be responsible for providing leadership and direction related to planning studies, environmental assessments and permit applications for Ensero projects and clients.Key Responsibilities
- Provides direction and activities related to planning studies, environmental assessments and permit applications for Ensero projects and clients.
- Leads the development of regulatory strategies for clients.
- Work collaboratively with technical teams and proactively identify opportunities to improve project environmental design aspects and streamline regulatory processes.
- Develops an integrated project schedule including the critical path for the end-to-end tasks and activities necessary to successfully implement projects.
- Provide corporate technical support to Ensero projects with regard to environmental compliance, governance and permitting.
- Interface and communicate with various levels of government, stakeholders and communities to advance permitting activities.
- Represent Ensero Solutions and our clients in regulatory and community meetings, workshops and events and oversee the preparation of presentation materials.
- Keep abreast of existing and pending legislation and regulation changes which may impact Ensero projects or our clients projects. Coordinate and disseminate regulatory information within the company.
- Develop professional and business relationships across the industry to better advance Enseros growth and strategic initiatives.
- Supports the writing and development of client proposals and explores business development opportunities in mining and other sectors.
- Conducts senior reviews of technical deliverables and programs in area(s) of expertise.
- Completes other projects, reporting and tasks as assigned.
- Mentor and provide technical training to junior and intermediate team members
- All other duties as required
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- 7 - 9 years of previous experience working in environmental consulting, A/E/C or relevant industry.
- Experience in building relationships and engaging with First Nations and all levels of Government.
- Knowledge of and experience in Yukons, NWTs, Nunavuts and BCs (and other jurisdictions) impact assessment and licensing regime for resource development projects.
- Ability to work effectively with team members as well as lead multi-disciplinary projects
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other business software
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work independently or as part of a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels
