CIT Director at Dedham Community Association Inc – Dedham, Massachusetts

If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! Dedham Community House Summer Camp is hiring a Counselor-In-Training Director (CIT Director) for the 2026 camp season.

Requirements:

• CIT Director must be at least 20 years old with experience working with children and teens
• Must have prior experience working in a camp setting
• Teaching/facilitation experience preferred
• CPR/First Aid certification is required (training will be provided if needed)
• Ability to be present for the entire camp season

Responsibilities of the CIT Director include:

• Overseeing a group of 10-15 counselors in training aged 14 and 15
• Managing the CIT schedule, assigning groups they work with, and checking on CITs throughout the day
• Helping Counselors to understand the expectations of the CITs and how they can help to ensure these are met
• Managing attendance and knowledge of the whereabouts of CITs at all times during the day.
• Lead workshops that encourage team building and leadership skill development with CIT participants
• Being available to assist the Leadership Team with anything that comes up during the day when you are not working with the CITs
• Setting the example for campers and staff alike to help keep camp safe, fun, and inclusive

Details:

• Camp season runs from June 8th through August 21
• CIT Program runs June 22-August 21
• Operated Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm (staff arrive at 8:30 am and leave at 4:45 pm)
• Optional additional hours for AM and PM care 7:30-8:45 am and 4:30-5:45 pm

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $20.00- $23.00 per hour

• 8-hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
