  • JOB REQUIREMENTS
    • Education
      • Skill and proficiency in applying the technical skills of practical nursing. Such proficiency is acquired through completion of an approved Practical Nurse Program. Knowledge of human growth and development necessary for range of treatment and care of patients appropriate to the patient’s age as acquired through formal education course work. Current licensure or permit as a Practical Nurse in the state of Arkansas. Meets minimum standard set for pharmacy exam.
    • Experience
      • Knowledge of hospital policies\procedures, practices, techniques, and equipment as acquired through orientation.
    • Physical

      • Normal hospital environment. Exposure to biological hazards. Close eye work. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Distinguish smells. Distinguish temperatures by touch and proximity. Frequent exposure to fumes, odors and water. Lifting up to 100 lbs. Carrying up to 40 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 350 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping and reaching.
  • JOB SUMMARY
    • Under the direct supervision of the registered technologist, responsible for providing direct and\or indirect patient care. Incumbents are subject to overtime and callback as required by the hospital. Assists the registered technologist in implementing, and evaluating patient care for an assigned group of patients. Documents patient condition, treatments, and care given. Performs a wide range of registration duties including departmental correspondence, answers telephone, schedules appropriate appointments at appropriate times, registers patients for PET departments into hospital system, relays all messages, greets and processes patients. Ensure that pertinent records are obtained and placed into the patient’s chart. Tact and diplomacy will be used in contact with all patients, physicians and visitors as required. Discreetness in matters relating to patients and their problems, and attention to detail also required.
