The Opportunity

You will hold the most critical technical role in our shop, sitting at the intersection of high-end design and master craftsmanship. Your engineering expertise ensures that complex architectural visions are translated into flawless, production-ready shop drawings that our craftsmen can execute with 100% accuracy.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Convert architectural plans and conceptual layouts into detailed, finalized shop drawings and construction notes.

• Engineer comprehensive production packets, including precise cut sheets, material lists, and specialized hardware specifications.

• Validate all designs against field measurements and jobsite dimensions to eliminate errors before wood hits the saw.

• Synchronize with the shop foreman and installation teams to resolve design conflicts and confirm construction feasibility.

• Execute material takeoffs and manage vendor ordering to ensure all sheet goods and specialty components arrive on schedule.

• Systematize job folders and documentation to maintain a seamless flow of information from the front office to the shop floor.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Proven ability to interpret complex architectural drawings and cabinetry layouts.

• Deep understanding of custom cabinet construction methods, joinery, and material applications.

• Exceptional organizational skills with a track record of managing technical documentation for multiple concurrent projects.

• Strong problem-solving skills focused on identifying and resolving structural or dimensional issues during the drafting phase.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Proficiency in cabinet design software such as KCD, Cabinet Vision, or Cabinotch.

• Experience producing millwork shop drawings in a high-end custom environment.

• Direct experience coordinating with production teams or working on a shop floor.

• Previous experience managing vendor relationships and material procurement.
