About This Position
Position Summary
The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) / Case Manager is responsible for providing direct client support and case management services within behavioral health programs. This role combines client-facing responsibilities with administrative and compliance tasks to ensure program integrity and client success. The BHT/Case Manager will uphold high standards of client care, maintain compliance with ADHS regulations, and assist in program reporting and documentation. This position will also provide group facilitation.
Key Responsibilities
Group Facilitation
- Excel in all job requirements on the Group facilitation job description.
Client Support & Case Management
- Monitor client progress, maintain accurate documentation, and provide outreach for incomplete paperwork or payments.
- Schedule and coordinate education classes, counseling sessions, and exit appointments.
- Communicate with clients and courts regarding program completion and certification.
- Other duties as assigned
Program & Compliance Management
- Run reports and send certificates to clients/courts.
- Review and analyze weekly reports and set outreach plans to ensure client success.
- Verify client completion schedule or run reports as needed.
- Ensure compliance with ADHS standards and agency policies.
- Other duties as assigned
Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate client records in EHR systems.
- Assist with reporting and analysis for the courts.
- Support quality assurance initiatives and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum age: 21 years.
- High School diploma with at least 2 years of behavioral health experience ORAssociate’s/Bachelor’s /Master’s degree in a behavioral health field.
- CPR and First Aid certification (current within 2 years).
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles, case management practices, and ADHS compliance.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain confidentiality, and communicate effectively.
- Completion of 20 hours of annual training (including 8 hours domestic violence-related).
- Familiarity with DUI laws and treatment standards preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Competencies
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in EHR systems and report generation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to client-centered care and ethical standards.
- HIPPA compliance knowledge and application
- Strong knowledge of the court referral process and client responsibilities
