About This Position
A.T. Still University's School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona (ATSU-SOMA) is seeking a non-exempt Curriculum Coordinator who works closely with the department Chair and Course Directors, performing essential duties to support curricular and administrative needs, ensuring the seamless delivery of curriculum. This position must work collaboratively to construct and maintain courses using various educational technology.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with SOMA faculty and administration to facilitate the assessment process and logistical
- support in preparation, scheduling, conducting and evaluation of assessments.
- Track assessment projects across the College.
- Promote and preserve the mission of ATSU-SOMA.
- Work collaboratively with various stakeholders to support the student user experience including curricular delivery, curricular assessment, and other workflow processes.
- Assist with other duties and functions as needed/assigned or to maintain efficient and effective daily operations.
- Managing Canvas LMS, Canvas course creation and asset management.
- Using educational technology and working with various stakeholders to design and implement courses in Canvas.
- Exam creation, passwords, scoring, post exam adjustments and result evaluation and reporting grades to stakeholders.
- Reporting of grades and at-risk students to stakeholders.
- Exam ordering and technical support for 1st and 2nd year exams and NBOME exams
- Creation, distribution, analysis and reporting of course results and instructor surveys and other surveys as needed.
- Participate in and support committee meetings as assigned.
- Proctor examinations and participate in designated Institutional activities.
- Room scheduling for various events and workshops.
- Effectively communicate and interact with students, staff, faculty, and leadership in matters related to ATSU-SOMA and Institutional effectiveness and assessment.
- Maintain FERPA confidentiality and security of student data under applicable law and Institutional Policies and Procedures
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required (prefer health sciences, instructional design, or related technology degree).
1- 2 years experience demonstrating proficiency with software and databases; Microsoft Office and Google Suite, graphic design software, Canvas LMS preferred. Prior work experience in higher education, preferably medical education and hybrid education model that includes distance and classroom learning.
Skills & Experience:
- Excellent interpersonal skills, across multiple professions/disciplines and levels.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient in MS software applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite, internet, and Canvas LMS.
- Minimum basic graphic design and data management skills.
- Comfortable using computers, laptops, tablets, cameras, and smart phone devices.
- Must be highly organized, self-motivated, and demonstrate excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, set priorities, and make critical decisions.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently requiring little to no supervision.
- Ability to work both as a team leader and as a supportive team member.
- Curiosity, flexibility, and adaptability in a dynamic environment are essential.

- Ability and availability to work extended periods of time on simulation/special event days.
