This role offers a creative and strategic opportunity to shape the organizations web presence, driving engagement, brand awareness, and donations through compelling digital content. As a Manager, Web Copywriter, you will lead content creation and governance across multiple digital platforms, ensuring messaging is on-brand, persuasive, and optimized for search visibility. You will collaborate closely with designers, developers, marketing, and multimedia teams to align copy with UX best practices and organizational goals. This role requires strong SEO knowledge, digital storytelling skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key part in advancing the organizations mission while maintaining a high standard of editorial quality and content strategy. Success in this position requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to balance strategic objectives with hands-on content management.
Accountabilities:- Write clear, persuasive, and original web copy for diverse audiences, ensuring messaging aligns with brand voice and organizational objectives.
- Manage and maintain website content governance, keeping all content accurate, current, and approved by relevant internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and marketing teams to integrate copy with UX design and multimedia elements.
- Conduct keyword research and implement SEO strategies to improve organic search visibility and user engagement.
- Coordinate with Social, Direct Response, and Multimedia teams to align editorial calendars and content across channels.
- Edit and proofread copy for clarity, accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment.
- Lead web content projects that drive engagement, optimize site performance, and support fundraising and brand-building goals.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience writing for websites, digital campaigns, or marketing platforms, ideally including nonprofit or global health experience.
- Strong knowledge of SEO principles, UX writing, and website content strategy.
- Excellent grammar, attention to detail, and storytelling ability.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms, especially WordPress.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience optimizing content for search engines, including AI-assisted search tools.
- Preferred: Fluency in additional languages relevant to global audiences; prior experience in humanitarian or global health organizations.
