About This Position
Norsat International Inc. is seeking a KPU student enrolled in an undergraduate program in Manufacturing or Engineering or Supply Chain to work for the Summer term. Throughout the internship, you will have a hands-on real-world experience with different team members ranging from the CEO & President, CFO, In this internship, you will be exposed to learning, development and mentoring sessions while being offered a chance to add value through your unique and fresh perspective.
What You'll Do:
- Coordinate and execute root cause investigation, tracking, and executions for internal and external issues.
- Track and review corrective and preventive actions using CAPA methodology.
- Conduct audits, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions.
- Analyze the root causes and implement corrective actions for processes or parts that have concerns.
- Develop and manage data analysis of product quality trends.
- Manage testing equipment calibration program.
- Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes.
- Understand and interpret all manufacturing audits, including ISO 9001 and other industry standards.
- Support new product launches, ensuring compliance with established standards.
- Contribute in the development and implementation of systems, policies, and procedures for selecting and qualifying new suppliers, as well as monitoring capabilities and performance of existing Suppliers.
- Support quality goals and objectives along with activities to identify, explain and resolve quality issues.

Work Hours:
Minimum 20 hrs./ week and up to 35 hrs per week; minimum 4 months and maximum 6 months; specific weekly schedule to be determined closer to the start date or during the interview. The internship has 460 hours in total.
