You will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, engaging, and closing new client relationships while managing the full sales cycle. You will work closely with internal teams including manufacturing, process development, and project management to ensure client needs are met and proposals are successfully executed. This role combines hands-on sales execution with team leadership, pipeline development, and strategic market positioning. Accountabilities:
  • Lead commercial sales initiatives to achieve revenue targets across multiple sites and client segments.

  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the cell and gene therapy market, leveraging networks, industry events, and digital tools.

  • Serve as the primary liaison with prospective clients, managing negotiations, contract execution, and proposal development.

  • Translate client needs into actionable plans with internal teams, ensuring seamless handoff from sales to project execution.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to advance strategic partnerships.

  • Track sales pipeline, forecast revenue, and communicate progress transparently with executive leadership.

  • Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and industry events to enhance visibility and drive business growth.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of sales or business development experience, preferably in CDMO, biotech, or life sciences sectors.

  • Proven track record of building client relationships, closing contracts, and meeting or exceeding revenue goals.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Biochemistry, Immunology, Molecular Biology, or related life sciences field (advanced degree or MBA preferred).

  • Strong understanding of the cell and gene therapy market, including experience with CAR-T, TCR, TILs, Tregs, or CAR-NK technologies.

  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.

  • Experience managing complex sales cycles and multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.

  • Leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring, and building commercial teams, is highly desirable.
