Senior Reliability Engineer

Base Pay: $92,100.00 - $128,040.00 / Year

Description

Reliability Engineer ensures that Rochester Electronics delivered parts are reliable in field use. This individual is a part of the Reliability Lab Test Department and will be responsible for generating reliability qualification stress plans detailing qualification stress requirements and issuing final test reports summarizing reliability stress results and disposition.

Responsibilities

  • Works with appropriate engineering groups to assess root cause and define required corrective actions using an 8D report format.
  • Facilitates Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) for reliability incident investigations
  • Provides analytical support utilizing statistical tools for quantifying reliability opportunities and improvements
  • Performs reliability modeling in support of projects and site activities
  • Works within the reliability engineering team developing design improvements, communicating them effectively to the engineering and quality teams and ensures timely implementation.
  • Contributes technically across the reliability engineering team to the development of product improvements, ensuring only high quality,
  • Ensures reliability stress tests are performed in compliance with the applicable qualification plans and industry standard test methods.
  • Technical report writing
  • 8D problem analysis

Requirements
  • BSEE, BSME, BSCE degree or equivalent engineering degree.
  • Recent college graduates may be considered.
  • Familiar with JEDEC, AEC Automotive and Mil Standard reliability test methods and requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable of semiconductor and packaging reliability failure mechanisms and governing acceleration models.
  • Knowledgeable of ESD failure modes and device handling precautions
  • Familiar with Weibull distribution plotting and analysis.
  • Skills:
    • Technical report writing.
    • 8D problem analysis.
    • Familiarity with JMP or Minitab analysis software a plus.
    • Strong verbal and written communications.
    • Basic computer skills with an understanding of Microsoft Office® software suite.
    • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in timely manner.
    • Basic understanding of Statistical Processing Controls (SPC)
