Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a dump truck. This role requires a commitment to delivering goods on time while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
Duties
- Load up necessary supplies and drive truck to the job. During the day you will be hauling materials when necessary. When you are not driving you will be working on the job. Concrete experience is preferred but not required.
- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task
- Load and unload materials and equipment as needed
- Act and drive in a professional manner always
- Possess the drive to produce quality work with little supervision
- Keep vehicles clean and orderly
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues to fleet management.
- Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies regarding safe driving practices.
- Other duties as assigned
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation to and from our shop
- Ability to lift heavy loads as required during loading and unloading processes.
Physical Demands
The employee is regularly required to sit, stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and lift and/or move 100 pounds or more with assistance. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, touch objects, tools or controls and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally required to work extended hours.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, heat, cold and stress. Work is done outdoors, so employee must dress for conditions. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. The employee must have the ability to work outdoors in cold and hot weather.
