Job Description
Subway Store Manager
The Subway Store Manager is the heartbeat of daily operations, responsible for leading a dedicated team to deliver exceptional customer experiences while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. This leadership role ensures the restaurant operates efficiently and meets all company operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Recruit, hire, and train employees, manage staff schedules, and supervise team members during shifts to ensure a positive work environment.
Operational Excellence: Oversee daily restaurant operations, including managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness both inside and outside the store.
Financial Management: Track sales and labor costs, handle cash management and daily deposits, and ensure all sales are recorded accurately per company standards.
Customer Service: Greet customers with "Welcome to Subway," provide prompt service, and tactfully handle any customer complaints.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to food safety guidelines, health regulations, and company security procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a restaurant environment, with previous supervisory and staff training experience preferred.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is typically required; a college degree is often preferred.
Certifications: Ability to obtain food safety certifications, such as SERV Safe or ANSI-approved Food Protection Manager certification.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, strong leadership, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, bend, and walk for the entire workday, and lift up to 30–50 pounds as needed.
