POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a dependable and technically skilled IT Support Technician to join our growing team at a leading healthcare anesthesia management company. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day support, maintenance, and deployment of end-user computing equipment and technology infrastructure across our headquarters. You will play a critical role in enabling our clinical and administrative staff to operate efficiently and securely in a fast-paced, compliance-sensitive environment.
DETAILS:
Salary: $60,000 - $65,000/year, commensurate with experience.

Department: Information Technology.
Reports To: Director of Information Technology.
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt.
Format & Schedule: Hybrid. On-site approx. 3 days/week, typically Mon. - Wed., but can vary. Support Tech must participate in an on-call rotation from 6 - 8pm once per month.
Location: Somnia Corporate HQ - 450 Mamaroneck Ave, Harrison, NY 10528.
Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. Hardware & Software Support
- Test, configure, and prepare computer equipment for deployment to end users.
- Troubleshoot and fix hardware and software problems on laptops, desktops, tablets, monitors, phones, and networking devices.
- Perform hardware repairs and upgrades on Windows and Mac-compatible devices.
- Install, update, and maintain operating systems and standard software applications.
- Perform OS imaging and system provisioning for new and replacement devices.
- Conduct hardware backups and data recovery operations for archiving purposes.
II. Peripheral & Device Management
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot printers, scanners, and related peripheral devices for headquarters users.
- Provide ongoing support for phone systems and networking equipment.
III. IT Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all IT hardware assets using the A-Track inventory management system.
- Document hardware distribution, assignments, and lifecycle status for all IT equipment.
IV. Administrative & Departmental Support
- Perform medical records scanning in support of the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team.
- Assist with document scanning and digitization needs for various internal departments.
- Support the office manager with the setup and configuration of office equipment.
- Assist with additional departmental tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency with Windows and macOS operating systems, including installation and imaging required.
- Practical knowledge of computer hardware components with the ability to perform repairs and upgrades required.
- Experience configuring and supporting networking equipment, phones, and peripheral devices required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate asset inventory records required.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment required.
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance requirements and the handling of protected health information (PHI) preferred.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Hands-on experience in an IT support or help desk role with direct exposure to hardware and software troubleshooting required.
- Experience working in a healthcare or medical office environment preferred.
- Experience with asset management or IT ticketing systems preferred.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) preferred.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar IT certification a plus.
