- Diagnose and reproduce technical issues by analyzing logs, query plans, transaction states, sync behavior, schemas, and connector configurations
- Provide expert guidance on onboarding, authentication, SSL/SSH setup, permissions, networking, and production readiness for customer deployments
- Contribute directly to Java/Kotlin connector codebases by fixing bugs, improving error handling, and enhancing CDC and schema evolution processes
- Validate compatibility across supported databases, warehouses, storage platforms, and connector versions through hands-on testing
- Partner with engineering and product teams to escalate recurring issues, advocate for feature improvements, and influence roadmap priorities
- Support enterprise customers alongside solutions and sales teams through technical consultations and expansion opportunities
- Build documentation, troubleshooting guides, runbooks, and scalable AI-assisted workflows to improve team efficiency and customer outcomes

- Solid understanding of CDC, schema evolution, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data integration architectures
- Experience troubleshooting JDBC drivers, connectivity issues, authentication, SSL, and SSH tunnels
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Self-starter mindset, adaptability, and comfort working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
- Flexibility to work Sun–Thu, Mon–Fri, or Tue–Sat schedules across U.S. Pacific, Mountain, or Central time zones
Benefits:
- Fully remote position within eligible U.S. time zones
- Opportunity to contribute to open-source products used at global scale
