Job Description

VP of Operations

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a VP of Operations in United States.

This senior leadership role is designed for a strategic operator who can build, scale, and optimize complex field and project-based operations within high-growth infrastructure environments. The position carries full responsibility for operational execution across US activities, ensuring successful delivery of large-scale, high-value projects for clients in utilities, transportation, and government sectors. Acting as both an architect and executor of operational systems, you will design scalable processes, strengthen delivery governance, and enable cross-functional alignment across global teams. You will also serve as a key partner to commercial leadership, shaping deal feasibility and ensuring operational excellence from proposal through execution. This is a highly visible role requiring strong analytical thinking, hands-on leadership, and the ability to thrive in fast-moving, international environments.

Accountabilities:
  • Own full operational delivery success, ensuring high-quality execution of client projects and alignment with strategic objectives across the US operations.
  • Design, build, and continuously improve end-to-end operational processes, systems, and “control tower” dashboards to monitor project health, performance, and risk in real time.
  • Oversee Project Managers responsible for day-to-day execution while maintaining strategic oversight of timelines, budgets, scope, and delivery outcomes.
  • Develop, manage, and optimize the annual operations budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and strong ROI across all projects and teams.
  • Act as a strategic partner to Sales, providing operational feasibility insights and supporting high-value deal structuring and execution planning.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment between Operations, Product, Sales, Logistics, and international headquarters to ensure cohesive execution and information flow.
  • Establish, track, and continuously improve operational KPIs, leveraging data to identify inefficiencies and scale performance across teams.
Requirements:
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License is required.
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering and project management within large-scale infrastructure projects (utilities, transportation, or government sectors).
  • Proven experience in high-growth environments where operational processes were built from scratch and continuously optimized.
  • Strong expertise in cost estimating, project scheduling, and execution of complex engineering initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams of project managers and technical professionals.
  • Experience collaborating with international teams and working closely with global headquarters environments.
  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Construction, or Technology is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% for client engagement and project oversight.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate operational complexity into clear business insights.
  • Passion for innovation and adoption of emerging technologies within traditional infrastructure sectors.
Benefits:
  • Competitive executive compensation package with base salary ranging from $250,000 to $290,000.
  • Opportunity to shape and scale national operations in a high-growth environment.
  • Executive-level influence over strategy, execution, and organizational design.
  • Exposure to cutting-edge technologies in geospatial intelligence and infrastructure transformation.
  • Collaboration with global teams and senior leadership across multiple regions.
  • High autonomy in building operational systems and driving large-scale impact.
  • Travel opportunities for client engagement and project oversight.
