About This Position
Diakon Behavioral Health Services offers a range of counseling and behavioral services to children, teens, families and adult individuals. Services are provided through counseling centers in Mechanicsburg, Lewisburg, Montoursville, Williamsport, within several public-school buildings, Kennett Square, and Chester County. Specialized programs include family-based mental health services, provided in the community and in-home, addiction counseling, trauma-focused therapy and SPIN, a service designed to assist children and youths who have problematic sexual behaviors.
General Responsibilities:
- Responsible for directing and administering clinical services and treatment planning.
- Establishes and maintains professional and supportive relationships with youth, families, referring personnel, treatment providers, and others involved in the lives of children and youth.
- Provides clinical and administrative supervision to case managers and counselors.
- Carries a caseload assigned, providing a wide range of therapeutic interventions, including individual, family, and/or group therapy, and regularly adjusts responsibilities to meet changing needs and program demands as needed.
Education/Training: A Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field required.
Experience: A minimum of five (5) years' related experience normally required; supervisory experience preferred.
ADA: Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, reach, and lift items weighing up to 25 lbs.; visual and auditory skills.
