This role is a strategic leadership position responsible for defining and executing a comprehensive lifecycle marketing program that transforms first interactions into long-term engagement across multiple channels. The Director of Lifecycle Marketing will lead a high-performing team, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and craft compelling brand narratives that drive engagement, retention, and loyalty. You will oversee email, push, SMS, and other channels, ensuring a seamless and personalized supporter experience across global markets. This position requires a balance of strategic vision and hands-on execution, leveraging data, AI, and experimentation to optimize campaigns. - Lead the vision, strategy, and execution of a global lifecycle marketing program across email, push, SMS, and additional channels.
- Build and manage a high-performing Lifecycle Marketing team, including direct reports and cross-functional partners.
- Develop and implement automated, personalized campaigns that drive engagement, retention, and supporter growth.
- Oversee the creation of compelling brand-driven messaging and storytelling aligned with organizational goals.
- Ensure consistency and scalability of branded communications across international markets while respecting local nuances.
- Monitor and govern email program health, including deliverability, compliance, and list hygiene.
- Partner with product, data, engineering, and design teams to enhance tools, infrastructure, and lifecycle experimentation.
Requirements:
- 8–10 years leading high-volume, brand-driven lifecycle programs in content-based or consumer internet platforms.
- 4+ years of management experience, building and mentoring cross-functional teams.
- Expertise in brand strategy, storytelling, and multi-channel lifecycle marketing (email, push, SMS, web).
- Strong technical knowledge of email infrastructure, automation, segmentation, and deliverability; experience with ESPs like Iterable or Braze.
- Experience leveraging data, AI, and machine learning for personalized messaging and campaign optimization.
- Excellent strategic thinking, cross-functional leadership, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to execute large-scale campaigns while balancing brand impact, engagement, and retention metrics.
- Comfort with leading experimentation and optimization to continuously improve lifecycle outcomes.
