Senior Operating Officer - REMOTE
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Operating Officer. This role is critical in leading the organization's core operational functions, ensuring that the necessary infrastructure, systems, and processes are in place to achieve its mission effectively. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will work closely with the CEO and other leaders to develop strategic initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and contribute to long-term sustainability. Your leadership will help shape a high-performing operations department, fostering collaboration and accountability while driving the continuous improvement of internal systems. The impact of this role extends across multiple teams, making it paramount for organizational growth and success.
Accountabilities- Lead and oversee the Operations Department, including Finance and Accounting, Legal, Project Management, and Technology teams.
- Partner with People & Culture to align talent strategy and organizational development.
- Manage operational change, ensuring transitions are well-sequenced and effectively communicated.
- Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and Senior Leadership Team in long-term planning.
- Ensure annual planning processes are operationally supported and aligned with strategic goals.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives that promote sustainability and mission impact.
- Deliver the necessary operational backbone for achieving strategic priorities.
- Proven experience in operational leadership within a nonprofit or similar sector.
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with financial oversight and budget management.
- Familiarity with change management processes.
- Ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Strong problem-solving skills and capacity for strategic decision-making.
- Full-Time Position, 40 hours a week.
- Flexible remote work arrangement.
