Accountabilities:
  • Implement, manage, and monitor HSE programs to ensure compliance with federal and provincial regulations across all operational sites.
  • Communicate policies, training programs, and corrective action plans to employees, plant teams, and site committees.
  • Direct incident investigations, lost-time prevention initiatives, and recommend process improvements to reduce injuries and enhance safety performance.
  • Maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, insurance carriers, and consultants.
  • Develop, deploy, and track HSE communications and initiatives to support a strong safety culture.
  • Coach, mentor, and guide HSE teams and operational personnel on safety practices and compliance requirements.
  • Analyze HSE incident data to identify trends, recommend solutions, and report key performance metrics to senior leadership.
Requirements:
  • 7–10 years of experience in HSE within continuous manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Proven track record of measurable results in HSE performance and compliance auditing.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and change management capabilities to influence teams at all levels.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to set HSE goals, KPIs, and execute programs effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of North American occupational health and safety legislation, including OSHA, CSA, ANSI, Fire Code, and workers compensation standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with operational leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Project management experience from planning to completion, including managing budgets and capital HSE initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and general computer literacy.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary starting at $135,000+ annually.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, including telemedicine and health spending accounts.
  • Life insurance, short-term disability, and employee assistance programs.
  • 401k match and retirement savings support.
  • Paid vacation, floating days, and service awards.
  • Tuition reimbursement and professional development opportunities.
  • Employee engagement events, recognition programs, and discounts/perks.
  • Remote work flexibility with up to 50% travel across North America.
