About This Position

Description:

The Plumbing Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Plumbing Department. This role manages plumbing technicians, ensures high-quality service delivery, maintains customer satisfaction, and drives department profitability. The Plumbing Manager coordinates scheduling, training, performance management, and service quality while ensuring safety and compliance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and manage the department P&L, including revenue, gross margin, and operating expenses.
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics such as revenue, close rate, average ticket, and technician utilization to drive profitability.
  • Lead, coach, and develop technicians through ride-alongs, one-on-ones, and performance reviews, ensuring high service quality and accountability.
  • Foster team performance by addressing issues promptly and recognizing top performers.
  • Review completed service calls for accuracy, pricing, and proper documentation.
  • Handle escalated customer issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Work closely with dispatch to optimize scheduling and maximize billable hours.
  • Work with sales and installation teams to coordinate projects and service opportunities.
  • Maintain inventory of service parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company policies.

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Financial management.
