Position Highlights:

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform HVAC troubleshooting and perform general maintenance on HVAC systems (replace filters, belts, pulleys, etc.)

  • Perform general maintenance including carpentry, plumbing, light electrical, and light cement masonry in accordance with state/federal safety standards

  • Landscape and maintain grounds and common areas, including lawns, flowerbeds, shrubbery, and parking areas. Provide maintenance dictated by weather conditions, including removal of snow and ice from walkways

  • Dispose of medical waste, inclusive of hazardous, regulated, and/or infectious waste

  • Assist in various construction projects, perform furniture moves, box moves, coordinate access for contractors and vendors, and complete other miscellaneous duties

  • Manage building security and access control systems for user access and system tests as directed by the Clinic Administrator

  • Manage the maintenance provided by vendors for onsite building HVAC systems, security systems, building electrical systems, fire alarm systems, roofing, medical gas systems, and landscaping

  • Maintain assigned company vehicles to company standards

  • Manage and document all safety inspections according to Corporate Standards. Complete and document tasks on the safety matrix

  • Ensure that assigned buildings and other designated areas are cleaned and maintained in accordance with established guidelines

  • Perform daily janitorial duties as required for items needing immediate attention, such as replenishment of restroom supplies, trash removal, and cleanup of spills

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

  • One year experience in building maintenance

  • First Aid certification within 90 days of hire

  • Forklift operator’s license required if working in Procurement

  • Valid Driver’s License and proof of automobile liability insurance coverage

  • This position requires a pre-employment physical assessment

  • Will be required to participate in the Maintenance on-call schedule

  • Effective verbal and listening communication skills

  • Skills in logical reasoning, problem-solving, and sound judgment

  • Works independently and handles multiple projects a variety of tasks simultaneously, with the potential for frequent interruptions

  • Effectively interacts with a variety of employees in a professional manner

  • Basic proficiency with a variety of computer programs including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

  • Knowledge of the correct and safe usage of assorted cleaning chemicals used in janitorial duties

  • Skilled to use maintenance trade equipment and tools

  • Possesses carpentry, electrical, plumbing, landscaping and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) skills to perform general maintenance

  • Knowledge of and performs General Maintenance within the regulations of Federal/State/Local building codes

  • Proficiency to read and understand construction documents such as “As-Build” drawings and O&M manuals
