Patient Financial Services Representative at Buchanan County Health Center – Independence, Iowa

The Patient Financial Services Associate performs varied clerical accounting skills associated with patient accounts and insurance billing. Also includes patient account insurance follow-ups, self-pay balances and patient refunds.

Work requires knowledge of basic grammar and mathematical principles normally required through a high school education, with some postsecondary education preferred.

Additional training or working knowledge of related business preferred.

Knowledge of computers, printers, copy machines, adding machines, postage machines and fax machines.

Two years of experience working in hospital finance, physician office or billing and collections or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
