Security Technician at Horizon Energy Group – Auckland

We're looking for an experienced Security Technician to join our team in Auckland. This position is permanent full-time (minimum 40 hours per week).
What You'll Do
- Install, program, test, and maintain Security, Access Control, Automation, and MATV systems
- Deliver electronic security installations across commercial, industrial, and residential sites
- Ensure all installations comply with relevant legislation, industry standards, and company procedures
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs and system upgrades
- Manage projects from planning through to completion, ensuring delivery within time and budget
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for completed works
- Maintain strong customer relationships by delivering high-quality technical support.
What We're Looking For
- Relevant trade qualification in Electrical, Electronic Security, or related field
- Minimum 3 years' experience working with Security, Access Control, Automation, and MATV systems
- Gallagher Access Technician certification
- Current PSPLA Certificate of Approval (ST) Security Technician
- Proven experience in installation and maintenance of electronic security systems including Mag locks, Mortice locks, Strike locks, V Bolt locks, Card readers, Request to exit and Emergency exit devices.
- Strong technical knowledge of industry systems and programming requirements
- Sound knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements
- Commitment to support safe work practices
- Ability to manage projects independently from concept to completion
- Strong organisational, planning, and communication skills
- Customer-focused with professional client engagement skills.
