Job Summary:
The Facilities & Safety Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the operational excellence, safety, and security of an electronics repair and refurbishment facility. This role requires a proactive professional who balances hands-on technical repairs with administrative oversight of EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) and vendor relations. The goal is to maintain a seamless production environment while ensuring 100% compliance with OSHA and local regulations. This is a working supervisor role. The candidate must be willing and able to perform physical repairs and maintenance alongside the team as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to minimize downtime.
• Review and approve facility staff time records for accuracy; coordinate HR to resolve discrepancies or initiate corrective actions regarding attendance and performance.
• Serve as the primary lead for OSHA compliance; manage safety documentation, incident reports, and lead employee training.
• Monitor and maintain critical site infrastructure, including compressed air systems, power distribution, and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection protocols.
• Oversee the maintenance and safety compliance of material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Manage safety documentation, incident reports, and environmental filings.
• Manage external service providers, including security, janitorial, waste management, and specialized mechanical contractors.
• Review quotes, contracts, and oversee onsite contractor projects, and ensure all third-party work complies with company safety standards.
• Manage and optimize site security protocols, including CCTV, access control systems, and asset protection strategies to prevent loss of electronic components.
• Maintain a strategic inventory of critical spare parts and consumables to ensure immediate resolution of facility issues.
• Serve as the primary coordinator for facility-related emergencies.
• Other duties as assigned.
Education:
• Technical diploma or Associate degree in a mechanical/electrical trade.
Experience:
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in facility maintenance or plant operations, preferably in the electronics or manufacturing sector.
• 1-2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
• Proven track record of performing independent repairs and managing day-to-day site facility needs.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and navigating industrial environments.
• Proficient with power tools, hand tools, and multi-meters.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to distinguish wire colors and read technical labels.
• Comfortable working on ladders or in confined spaces.
• Work performed in a warehouse or manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
