Laser Operator at Human Technologies, Inc – Wellford, South Carolina

As a Tube Laser Operator, you will be responsible for setup, programming, and daily operation of the tube laser machine. This role requires attention to detail, quality control, and the ability to work efficiently in a fabrication (fab) shop environment. Laser experience is preferred, and fabrication experience is a plus.

Set up, program, and operate tube laser equipment

Demonstrate full understanding and execution of Artube software to run tube laser

Execute programs and monitor laser output according to daily production assignments

Confirm all parts are cut to specifications

Maintain logs of materials cut and parts used for inventory tracking

Unload cut materials and distribute throughout the shop

Perform low-level maintenance of tube laser and associated equipment per maintenance schedule

Order and change tips, gas, and other consumables as needed

Unload steel trucks and properly segregate material

Empty fume extractor and assist in monitoring metal dumpster

Maintain accurate inventory of parts in baskets

Notify Shop Supervisor of any maintenance issues

Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE

Operate forklift safely as trained

Maintain clean and organized work area and ensure exhaust hoods are turned off at end of shift

Laser operating experience preferred

Fabrication (fab shop) experience a plus

Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn machine programming

Ability to read and interpret work instructions and specifications

Strong attention to detail and quality standards

Dependable work ethic and ability to work in a production environment

Commitment to safety and housekeeping standards

$20/hour starting pay

Consistent first-shift schedule with early Friday finish
