Remote PMO Scheduler

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Remote PMO Scheduler. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs with their Momentum Financials implementation. You will transform complex, multi-vendor workstreams into cohesive project schedules that help ensure timely delivery of capabilities. Your efforts will provide a 'single source of truth' for all stakeholders, maintaining transparency in project milestones and dependencies. This position can be done fully remotely, offering flexibility while contributing to a meaningful mission.
Accountabilities
  • Develop and update structured, top-down Integrated Project Schedules (IPS) for financial controls and measurable progress tracking.
  • Build and maintain a robust IPS that integrates inputs from various stakeholders including System Integrators and business customers.
  • Manage complex interdependencies across deployment phases, ensuring accurate task sequencing and alignment with Lean management principles.
  • Conduct weekly performance analysis to identify the Critical Path and perform variance analysis to address schedule slips.
  • Act as primary contact for schedule status, identifying risks and escalating issues to leadership with recommended actions.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 6 years of experience in creating and managing schedules, Gantt charts, and dependencies.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
  • Proficient in MS Project, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience in developing fully networked schedules, utilizing predecessors and successors for progress measurement.
  • Outstanding reporting skills with proficient use of Microsoft Excel (charts, pivot tables).
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
