Accountabilities- Analyze market position and develop strategies to improve product line competitiveness.
- Segment market needs and identify critical customer requirements.
- Define product portfolio and manage product roadmaps for enhancements and new features.
- Promote collaboration with R&D to prioritize product ideas for development.
- Cultivate strong relationships with customers and internal teams to support order generation.
- Understand market opportunities including revenue, target costs, and margins.
- Tailor product delivery models to fit regional and industry market needs.
- Identify and collaborate with external resources for product development and service.
- Establish priorities for product programs based on effectiveness and risk.
- Educate sales teams on product benefits and effective sales strategies.
- Develop tools for quick and consistent customer support.
- B.S. in Engineering is required; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years in product engineering, application engineering, marketing, or technical sales.
- Proficiency in translating broad objectives into functional goals and metrics.
- Experience with change management and strategic implementation.
- Ability to create a comprehensive product program and business case.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including conflict resolution.
- Experience in negotiation and understanding organizational dynamics.
- Familiarity with financial metrics related to product success.
- Knowledge of accounting practices related to product management.
- Experience in data collection and market share analysis.
