USMC Financial Management Consultant at Lynch Consultants, LLC – Alexandria, Virginia

Make an impact supporting the United States Marine Corps! Lynch Consultants is seeking an USMC Financial Management Specialist with a solid understanding of DoD Financial Systems who is ready to take on meaningful challenges and make a measurable difference.
 
This position is located in Arlington, VA and/or Alexandria, VA. Associates are required to be on-site at least 1 day per week (subject to more if and when needed).

Salary: $75,000 - $90,000/yr. (reflective of experience)

 
Required Qualifications – Must Have:

• MUST have obtained one of the following professional certifications: CPA, CISA, CIA, CGFM, or CDFM

• U.S. Citizenship

• Active DoD Secret Clearance

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field

• Minimum 6 years of experience in federal financial management, accounting, or audit readiness

Preferred Qualifications:

• DoD or USMC experience in federal financial management, accounting, or audit readiness

Skills:

• Proficiency with DoD financial systems (e.g., DAI) and data analytics platforms (e.g., Advana).

• Demonstrated ability to review and verify financial documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with USMC SOPs.

• Experience reconciling data across financial systems, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions.

• Skilled in performing audit sample selection, review, and follow-up to support audit readiness and remediation.

• Proven ability to conduct compliance reviews, prepare findings reports, and recommend policy or process improvements.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to present findings to senior stakeholders.
