Here's What You Need
- Bachelor's Degree Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology or related field is required
- 1year experience in cardiac rehab is preferred
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required And
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days is required And
- CCES - Certified Clinical Exercise Specialist Upon Hire is preferred Or
- RCEP - Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist Upon Hire is preferred
- Must possess knowledge of respective clinical area to include equipment used, infection control, criteria of standard precautions, national patient safety goals and all other skills related to patient care delivery.
What You Will Do
- Assist RN with patient assessment on admission to the program and assist with the development of comprehensive individualized exercise program.
- Develops exercise prescriptions/programs tailored to the unique needs and interests of the client and in accordance with department guidelines.
- Provides instruction necessary for the safe and effective performance of exercise activities, and promotion of secondary prevention to individuals who are limited by cardiac disease to improve functional capacity and lower cardiovascular risk factors.
- Completes shift assignments for equipment maintenance, and all other tasks related to maintaining a safe and clean environment.
- Documents all required data for Cardiac Rehab members according to department guidelines
