Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace, Inc. in Johnstown, PA is seeking an Electro‑Mechanical Assembler to support our Box Build department. In this role, you will perform hands‑on electro‑mechanical assembly operations for our Remote Weapon Stations (RWS), contributing directly to the quality and reliability of mission‑critical systems used around the world. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform Electro-Mechanical assembly operations using basic hand tools and test equipment following step by step work instructions.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems using wiring schematics, deficiencies and concerns in supplied and internally manufactured materials.
- Document deficiencies in Improve data base.
- Report progress and discrepancies to Box Build Lead.
- Support and participate in training and cross-training.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma/GED equivalent is required; however, an associate's degree is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 1-2 years of prior manufacturing production experience preferred.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiencies, such as using internal computer systems, email and Microsoft Office Suite is necessary.
- Must be able to work from prints, procedures, assembly diagrams, sketches, schematics and/or verbal-written instructions.
