About This Position
Description:
Phoenix Water Solutions is seeking an experienced Plumbing Foreman with a strong background in formal plumbing work and field leadership to oversee daily plumbing operations on-site. This role is intended for candidates who have progressed through the plumbing trade and have hands-on experience leading plumbing crews, not general construction supervisors without direct plumbing expertise.
The Plumbing Foreman plays a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of plumbing projects while serving as the key communication link between field teams and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee daily plumbing operations on-site, ensuring crews clearly understand daily scopes, priorities, and expectations.
- Supervise and support plumbers and apprentices, ensuring work is completed to company standards and project requirements.
- Provide clear end-of-day reports to management covering progress, completed work, challenges, labor usage, and material needs.
- Enforce the use of scorecards, job tracking tools, and productivity metrics to maintain accountability and quality.
- Understand weekly production targets, labor availability, and material readiness to support uninterrupted workflow.
- Monitor job sites to ensure compliance with safety standards, plumbing best practices, and company policies.
- Coordinate with management, inspectors, subcontractors, and other trades to resolve field issues efficiently.
- Track labor hours, material usage, and job progress accurately.
- Provide on-the-job training, mentorship, and technical guidance to plumbing team members as needed.
- Identify and escalate potential delays, safety concerns, or quality issues proactively.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3–5 years of formal, hands-on plumbing experience.
- Previous experience as a Foreman or Lead within a plumbing division is required.
- Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program or equivalent field training.
- Strong working knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and field workflows.
- Proven ability to lead crews, allocate labor effectively, and meet production targets.
- Experience using scorecards, job tracking systems, or operational performance tools.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear and consistent field updates.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and solution-focused.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, field-driven environment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- OSHA or other relevant safety certifications preferred.
