This is a senior design leadership role shaping the core user experiences and content formats of a high-traffic digital platform. You will define the long-term vision for critical product surfaces, creating scalable and modular design systems that enable multiple teams to innovate effectively. The role combines strategic thinking, technical fluency, and creative leadership, influencing both product direction and user engagement. You will mentor other designers, establish design standards, and solve complex UX challenges that impact millions of daily users. • Define and communicate a long-term UX vision for core product surfaces and content formats, aligning with company goals
• Architect modular and extensible design systems that empower cross-team innovation while maintaining visual cohesion and performance
• Lead initiatives that improve user engagement and retention, informed by behavioral data and experimentation
• Partner with senior stakeholders in Product and Engineering to influence strategy and navigate trade-offs between experience, business value, and technical feasibility
• Mentor and develop senior and staff-level designers, elevating design standards and strategic thinking across the team
• Identify systemic UX challenges and implement scalable solutions that cross organizational boundaries
• Set benchmarks for design excellence that influence industry practices in content consumption and accessibility

Requirements:

• 12+ years of experience in Product Design, with significant leadership experience at a Principal or Director level
• Proven ability to architect resilient, scalable systems that enable multiple teams to deliver product innovations
• Strong track record of driving measurable business impact through design interventions, particularly in high-traffic digital products
• Deep technical understanding of platform architectures, performance constraints, and framework limitations
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to inspire and align teams and executives around a future-state vision
• Portfolio demonstrating strategic design leadership, high-fidelity craft, and the ability to shape product ecosystems
• Systems-first and entrepreneurial mindset, balancing user experience with technical feasibility and organizational goals
