This role offers the opportunity to lead and coordinate complex projects while managing a high-performing team in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. The Lead Project Coordinator will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, on time, and in alignment with organizational goals. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to project coordinators, and driving best practices in Agile project management. Success involves tracking project performance, mitigating risks, and delivering high-quality outcomes while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The role balances strategic oversight with hands-on project coordination, enabling measurable impact across multiple initiatives and partners.
- Lead and mentor a team of Project Coordinators, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities
- Support Technical Account Managers and Agile Leads in planning, coordinating, and executing core project components
- Manage special projects, including project planning, data analysis, and ensuring timely execution
- Facilitate project meetings, monitor status, and escalate issues for corrective action
- Maintain project documentation, including issue logs, deliverables, and communication updates
- Identify and mitigate project risks and blockers in collaboration with internal teams
- Coordinate with multiple internal and external partners to ensure alignment and clear communication
- Provide timely and accurate project updates to leadership and stakeholders
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in project coordination within IT or business operations, with 1-2+ years in a leadership or team lead role
- Proficiency with project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of project management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning
- Ability to work effectively with internal and external clients, demonstrating excellent customer service
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage client expectations
- Experience working independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
