About This Position

Job Description Summary

University Advancement seeks a part-time Advancement Communications Specialist (Temporary) to support alumni engagement and fundraising communications. This role will primarily be focused on digital communications execution.

Reporting to the Director of Advancement Communications, this position will play a key role in building and deploying email campaigns, supporting event and giving communications, and helping maintain a consistent, high-quality digital presence for alumni and donor audiences.

Essential Duties:

  • Collaborate with advancement colleagues to create email communications to support advancement programs and events, using email marketing platform BeeFree.

  • Create compelling visuals for digital communications using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop), or similar tools.

  • Assist in posting website content on Drupal.

  • Manage assigned projects and timelines to ensure on-time delivery.

  • Provide general support to the Advancement Communications team as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3 or more years of experience in marketing, digital communications, or related field.

  • Demonstrated experience building and deploying email campaigns within an email marketing or CRM platform.

  • Working knowledge of basic HTML for email formatting.

  • Experience creating digital visuals using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.

  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and attention to detail.

  • Comfort working independently in a part-time capacity with clear deliverables.

  • Experience in higher education, advancement, fundraising, or nonprofit communications preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Part-time (10–15 hours per week) with hybrid / flexible work arrangements.

  • This is a temporary position anticipated to last approximately 2-3 months, with the possibility of extension based on business needs.

Pay Transparency

In alignment with Bentley’s commitment to equity and transparency, we are disclosing the compensation for this temporary role. This temporary position has a fixed hourly rate of $50.00, paid for hours worked during the approved assignment period.
