At Noble, we believe the health of soil, plants, animals, and humans is one and indivisible. We believe in rebuilding healthy soils and helping producers maintain a strong bottom line. Through these two actions, we can transform degraded grazing lands across the United States, benefiting the environment and society as a whole.
Our focus is to help farmers and ranchers apply regenerative ranching principles to the nation’s 654 million acres of grazing lands. This monumental undertaking requires thousands of producers across the U.S. to overcome significant barriers and change their current practices to work with nature, not against it.
Our education program is at the heart of our mission. It is the glue that connects our internal research discoveries and outreach activities. We live to find new ways to generate usable information so farmers and ranchers can leave their land better at sunset than at sunrise. Our education program is the inflection point for transformation. Education has always been a part of who we are, but we know new opportunities exist for us to expand our reach.
So, do you want to join us? We are looking for a Facilitation Program Associate
As a facilitation program associate, you will support the growth and development of individual facilitators through structured observation, feedback, coaching, and certification. You will also contribute to the broader facilitation program. This work is key in helping Noble achieve its goals and share the story of regenerative land stewardship with farmers, ranchers, potential donors, and society at large. The work you do can play a part in making a difference in a producer’s operation, their life and the society that depends on them.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Build a “we-not-me” culture by actively considering the needs, objectives and impact on others in daily responsibilities and team collaboration. Value collective success, cultivate meaningful relationships and recognize the contribution of others.
- Be able to travel up to 25% of the time and sometimes more during busy periods, including overnight travel.
- Have solid knowledge of adult learning principles, facilitation methodology, and facilitator development best practices. Knowledge of instructional design methodology is desired.
- Demonstrate proficiency in facilitation craft, including the ability to model, observe, assess, and develop facilitation skills in others.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships by communicating consistently, adapting as needed, and establishing rapport to collaborate effectively and achieve shared goals.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by advocating for team success, supporting group decisions, and maintaining a positive attitude.
- Assist individuals in recognizing strengths and areas for growth by asking insightful questions that encourage learning, development, and discovering personalized solutions.
- Encourage others to achieve goals, inspiring commitment to their work and encouraging a team mindset.
- Set expectations, establish accountability, monitor performance, and provide feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Acknowledge efforts and recognize contributions by celebrating individual and team achievements and offering feedback, praise, and credit where due.
You will be responsible for:
Developing facilitators
- Supporting and facilitating cohort-based learning sessions that surface field observations, build peer learning, and drive continuous improvement across the facilitator pool. Developing and delivering facilitation workshops and skill-building sessions as needed.
- Supporting the facilitator certification process, including practice sessions, walk-throughs, certification assessments, and record-keeping across all advisor types: New, Certified, Cross-Training, and Contract/Partner.
- Conducting structured observations of facilitators during live and practice sessions and delivering timely, actionable feedback grounded in Noble's facilitation competency framework.
- Maintaining individual development plans for facilitators in active training and directing facilitators to appropriate learning resources.
Contributing to the facilitation program
- Supporting the tracking and documentation of facilitation performance records at the individual facilitator level. Contributing to data collection that informs development priorities.
- Assisting with the contract and partner facilitator pipeline, including onboarding support, certification tracking, and readiness assessment.
- Participating in the implementation of new delivery models, including the Regional Expert integration framework, as directed by facilitation leadership.
Supporting facilitator excellence
- Designing and implementing consistent training tools, frameworks, and resources that support facilitator development across experience levels and advisor types.
- Guiding facilitators in understanding effective teaching methodologies and application of those for various audiences and settings. Making recommendations regarding methods and techniques and supporting facilitators through problem solving and improvising.
- Preparing contract facilitators and regional experts for session delivery, including pre-session briefings, preparation support, and post-session debrief. Coordinating with facilitator managers to communicate expectations, share development updates, and align on individual facilitator progress.
- Gathering information (customer/peer feedback) and evaluating through observation to identify areas of improvement and providing feedback to enable development.
Contributing to cross-functional connections
- Supporting a defined feedback channel with instructional designers so that field observations from facilitators and cohort sessions inform course design and revision.
- Participating in product launch and revision conversations to ensure facilitation readiness is considered alongside content development.
- Participating on project teams on a variety of initiatives, including new technology, products, and special events.
We will:
- Teach you. We will support you with professional development opportunities that will hone your skills and grow you professionally.
- Support you. We’re committed to building solutions for each other in addition to our stakeholders. Our team members make time to help, provide solutions, and remove roadblocks with regular collaboration across groups, regardless of where our office is. We are empowered and equipped with the tools that allow us to connect, to be intentional and to grow together.
- Include you. We come from different parts of the globe and from different walks of life, but we share the vision of our founder, Lloyd Noble, to improve the land for the benefit of all society. Our culture is inclusive, supportive, and diverse. We want to be a part of your story and you to help write part of ours. Your perspective and experience is invaluable. Come grow with us!
- Provide you. We offer competitive salary and benefits, including multiple options for health and retirement plans, employee wellness program, employee recognition program, and onsite wellness center.
