What You’ll DoAs a Paint Technician, you’ll play a critical role in delivering high-quality finishes that meet our exacting standards.

Wear required safety equipment, including paint suit and respirator

Review travelers to confirm correct paint codes and setup

Inspect cylinders for cleanliness, surface defects, and proper preparation

Mask components correctly prior to painting

Mix paint and operate paint equipment, monitoring for proper function

Apply paint or primer to required mil thickness

Inspect finished products for appearance, contamination, and quality

Move painted cylinders to and from the drying oven (manual line)

Clean paint equipment and maintain a clean work area

Uphold the highest ethical standards for yourself and others

Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking ForAt least 6 months of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals

Basic math skills, including counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals

Comfortable using required PPE, including:

Half-face and full-face masks

Dust masks and respirators

Tyvek suits and lab coats

Goggles and gloves

Work EnvironmentThis position is performed in a manufacturing setting. While performing the duties of this role, employees may be exposed to:

Loud noise levels

Sharp edges

Heat

Rotating machinery

Physical RequirementsRegularly lift up to 10 lbs

Frequently lift up to 25 lbs

Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Frequent use of hands for handling, reaching, and operating equipment

Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling

Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
