Reports To: Program Manager Employment & Training

FLSA Status: Full-Time: Exempt 40 hours per week.

Pay Range: $65,000 - $67,000.

POSITION SUMMARY
Employment &Training Coordinator is responsible for the overall management and daily tasks of the SNAP E&T Job Placement Program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Included but not limited to the following).
  • Oversee and guide program staff and volunteers associated with program.
  • Maintain guidelines of recruitment, interviewing assessment, and placement of participants in accordance with the DHS and other funding requirements for SNAP E&T contractors
  • Plan and conduct orientation and training sessions for eligible participants about the SNAP E&T Job Placement Program
  • Identify successful placement sites that will be beneficial to the success of permanent placement for SNAP participants.
  • Develop and utilize appropriate monitoring mechanisms for program operation for both subsidized and unsubsidized placements.
  • Ensure quarterly Periodic Performance Reports due to DHS are timely and accurate.
  • Responsible for maintaining case records including documenting progress, services, activities, both subsidized and unsubsidized placements, document services and activities provided, and supportive services issued.
  • Accurately and thoroughly document weekly case management contacts and job retention services.
  • Arrange staffing schedule with FCRC Offices as needed for participants.
  • Attends scheduled meetings with other Managers and represent the agency at State and Local level to promote TCA Health, Inc., and SNAP E&T Job Placement Program SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Directly supervises participants in the SNAP E&T department and or volunteers.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Provide directions to support staff in their responsibilities to following up with SNAP participants which may include mailing, phone calls, distributing transportation, taking messages, and returning calls. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Experience with employment and training programs and participants required.
  • Interviewing skills and knowledge of employment guidelines as it relates to employment programs and services.
  • Verified skills with providing services to the hard to employ population.
  • Have a data bank of employers that are willing to hire the hard to serve or placements sites for work experiences.
  • Verify successful placements in previous work experience.
  • Knowledge of standard business practice and management.
  • Must have a vehicle that is in good working condition that is drivable to and from various sites for meeting and employer outreach.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in related field of social services, human resources, or business equivalent with minimum three years of experience in working with workforce development in a not-for-profit setting. Experience in managing state and federal contracts preferred.

Normal office and health center environment. May required later hours one day per week.
