Role: The Ensures Starbucks and JW Marriott service standards are met and surpassed by providing guests with prompt, quality coffee selection, purchase and preparation. Guests will experience a friendly, upbeat and clean atmosphere. Adheres to all Company, Safety and Department policies and procedures. Fosters teamwork and provides excellent guest service, anticipates guest needs to exceed guest expectations. Builds brand loyalty by living the JW Marriott Core Values.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Experience: 1 year experience preferred.
- Skills:
- Must maintain a friendly, professional demeanor and work effectively with all team members.
- Demonstrates clear verbal, listening, and written communication to ensure smooth guest interactions and accurate information sharing.
- Must be neat, clean, and well-groomed at all times to represent the establishment positively.
- Familiar with the menu, preparation procedures, and pricing to answer guest questions confidently and accurately.
- Ability to perform simple calculations for billing, change, and split checks accurately.
- Required:
- Must be 18 years of age.

- Valid Clark County Health Card
Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Prepare and execute all menu items according to established standards and instructions from culinary leadership.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times.
- Assist with daily requisitions, ensuring proper rotation and storage of supplies.
- Restock dishes, silverware, and other essentials as needed to support operations.
- Welcome and engage with every guest to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Identify customer needs and make appropriate product recommendations to enhance the guest experience and achieve sales goals.
- Learn and consistently demonstrate the “Starbucks Experience” in all interactions.
- Maintain equipment and service areas in a clean, appealing, and functional condition.
- Comply with JW Marriott cash handling procedures and point-of-sale standards.
- Complete “Initial Store Training” and achieve Barista certification with a score of 90% or higher.
- Follow proper procedures for ringing guest checks and handling cash transactions accurately.
- Perform all assigned side work duties according to established schedules.
- Respond to reasonable management requests and support team efforts within role capabilities.

Work is performed in a (type of location, i.e., office, kitchen, restaurant, casino, etc.) environment and in other locations throughout the property. Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases too loud. Additionally, smoking is permitted in casino areas consistent with Nevada state regulations, which are followed by the employer.

- Ability to verbally communicate effectively with guests and coworkers.
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, touch, climb, lift, and read (see) for extended periods of time (5 hours+).
- Must be able to regularly and safely lift and move boxes, supplies, and materials weighing 50 lbs. or more.
- Requires transporting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering items weighing up to 150lbs.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, noisy, and sometimes limited movement environment.
- Must be able to maintain sanitation, food safety, and other food service environment requirements.
- Requires eye/hand coordination.
- May require basic math with the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
- Ability to and comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (SDS) and other instructions.
